Whenever summer season comes, it doesn’t come alone and always brings along scorching heat and harmful UV rays which is not so good for our skin. Stubborn sun tan and dull skin are one of the most common issues that we confront during summers. Although, salons provide all possible solutions for skin problems but let’s accept it! No one wishes to visit a salon frequently especially when there is no extra time for self-indulgence.
If you are like me who hates visiting beauty parlors every week for facials and stuff, then you can consider using homemade face packs. These packs are quite easy to prepare and you get to save your pennies on expensive beauty products. Since, these remedies are completely safe, you can use them whenever you want. Here is a list of the easiest homemade face packs that will keep your skin healthy and glowing throughout the entire summer season:
Since, lots of heat and UV rays tend to result in dehydration, your skin will require its hydration back. Fortunately, we have cucumber which is known for rich water quantity.
The method is pretty simple as you just need to peel and mash a cucumber. Add 1 tablespoon of sugar and mix them properly. Now, let the mixture cool in refrigerator and make sure that it doesn’t freeze. Leave it on your face after application for 10-15 minutes and wash your face with cold water.
This is quite interesting that several foods are helpful not only in weight loss but also in skin rejuvenation. Oatmeal and yogurt also come from that list of foods. Let’s take a look at the recipe of this healing pack.
Take a cup of oatmeal and mix 1 tablespoon of yogurt to make a paste. Now, add some mashed cucumber in this paste to boost the soothing impact. Apply it evenly on your facial skin and let it stay for at least 20-30 minutes before you wash it with lukewarm water.
Honey is known for its own natural goodness and anti-oxidant properties. On the other hand, milk powder is apparently new in facial masks. But, the mixtures of these two ingredients can bring a remarkable change in your skin.
You just need to mix 2 tablespoons of honey in milk powder and the quantity of both the ingredients should be same. You can increase or decrease the quantity as per your requirement. Let the pack stay on your face for 15 minutes and wash it off with cold water.
Commonly known as besan, gram flour is one of those popular ingredients that women use for conventional beauty treatments. Mix honey and gram flour to obtain a fine paste and apply it evenly on your face. Keep this mask on your face for 15-20 minutes and then wash with water thoroughly.
Before we begin with this method, I would like to warm you that you might want to eat the mixture because it smells really good. This remedy will require 1 tablespoon of milk, 2 tablespoons of dark chocolate and 5 tablespoons of honey. Mix all of them and apply it on your face. After 10 minutes, you can wash it off with cold water.
Just like gram flour, sandalwood is another popular ingredient that is used for traditional beauty methods. You just need some sandalwood powder and rose water to make thin paste. Now, apply evenly on your facial skin and let the paste dry completely. You can also apply it before going to bed and wash it in the morning. Washing it with lukewarm water will give better results.
This method will be your favorite remedy once you get to see the results of its regular use. Besides, if you have an aloe vera plant in your home, then this is surely the easiest and most convenient skin care remedy for you. You just have to get some fresh gel from the plant and massage your face with it. After massage, leave it on your face for 10-15 minutes and then wash with cold water.
Egg white is useful in hair treatments but only few people know that it is good for skin as well. You just need to mix some drops of lemon in egg white and blend them properly to obtain a fine mixture. Apply the paste on your face and let it stay for at least 20 minutes. After that, use lukewarm water to wash it off completely from your face.
Skin experts recommend that mashed fruits can do wonders for your skin and banana is one of them. You need to mash half banana (eat another half part;)), add 2 tablespoons of cream and 1 tablespoon of honey in it. After mixing them well, apply it to your face and wipe it off after 10-15 minutes with the help of a soft damp cloth.

Fuller’s earth is also known as Multani mitti and is widely used in summers for treating dull skin and sun tan. Mix fuller’s earth with rose water and make paste. If you want, you can also add some curd and just a pinch of turmeric powder. Apply this cooling pack on face and let it dry. Once it dries, wash the pack thoroughly.
